6.BIG CHOICE BREWING
Spend an afternoon at Big Choice Brewing, located just off Main Street in a historically restored Buddhist temple. Something Brewery is on historic Main Street. It was Brighton’s first official brewery – and is a local favorite. Stop by and ask for a “blueberry muffin kettle sour” or one of their tea brews. 8.BARR LAKE STATE PARK
Brighton is home to Barr Lake State Park, well known for its birdwatching opportunities. Get your walking boots on, a jacket and grab some binoculars! It’s located on the east side of town, just off Interstate 76. See the special section in this guide for all you can do at the park. Riverdale Golf Course offers two different courses, The Dunes and The Knolls. The Dunes is a Scottishstyle links course with plenty of pot bunkers, mounds, water, and the natural trademark railroad ties meandering along the South Platte River. The Knolls is a traditional park-style layout that features many hazards, trees and elevated greens. 13.COLORADO CLAYS SHOOTING PARK
Colorado Clays Shooting Park is a shooting experience you’ll not soon forget. If you’re looking for a shooting experience that includes the region’s widest variety of clay target shooting, including sporting clays, skeet and trap, or rifle and pistol shooting, come experience the very best shooting in Colorado. Colorado Clays Shooting Range is open to the public and memberships are not required. Camping is available on the grounds, no hook-ups.

14.ADAMS COUNTY MUSEUM
Visit the Adams County Museum, which features the History Museum & Office, Cultural Center, a replica oneroom schoolhouse, a replica 1930s Conoco station, a working Blacksmith shop, a firehouse, a restored 1887 two-story Victorian house, a 1920 railroad caboose and the 120-foot by 60-foot Hoffman Hall, which is full of several exhibits, including an actual jail cell from the old Adams County Jail. The property also features a Japanese garden, sundial, a couple sculptures, windmill, gazebo and a Howe Farm Scale. Everyone is encouraged to call ahead before coming out so we can ensure a museum representative or a guide is available.

15.BIRD CONSERVANCY OF THE ROCKIES
Speaking of birdwatching, Brighton is also the headquarters for the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies. You can find them at Barr Lake State Park on the north end of the lake. The Conservancy is a nationally known non-profit organization dedicated to conserving birds and their habitats through science, education, and land stewardship. Look for the Old Stonehouse at Barr Lake – you’ll find the Conservancy’s friendly team ready to tell you all about what they do. Don’t have binoculars? They’ll loan you a set so you can bird watch while at the park.
