FEBRUARY

Annual Eagle Festival at Barr Lake State Park is a special day dedicated to learning all about our national bird, the bald eagle. There are crafts for kids and a live raptor presentation that everyone will enjoy. Weather permitting, take a ride on the Eagle Express to and from the gazebo. Kids can join a naturalist for Build It Big, constructing a lifesized replica of a bald eagle nest. The event is free with a paid entrance fee to the park. Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual event brought to you by the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies educators and Barr Lake State Park. Spend the morning birding at the park, and gather data for the Great Backyard Bird Count! All ages and abilities are welcome, and the event is free with a paid park entrance fee.

Image Summit is a two-day youth conference packed with keynote speakers, hands-on breakout sessions, mind-gripping entertainment and networking.

Evolution Women’s Conference is brought to you by The Greater Brighton Chamber of Commerce & Tourism. The conference will inspire, energize and empower women to grow. Key features include powerful talks by leading businesswomen, luncheon with an inspiring keynote speaker, a Women’s Expo, breakout sessions, and meaningful networking opportunities. APRIL

Historic Downtown Brighton Spring Festival is a family-friendly special event that includes free kids activities and over 100 vendors. Most downtown businesses feature special offers.

Best of Spring Bazaar features handcrafted items from over 150 vendors. The event is held at the Riverdale Regional Park & Fairgrounds. Admission is budget friendly.

MAY

Colorado Tiny House Festival invites you to experience tiny living at the largest tiny house festival in Colorado. Meet professional builders and people who DIY-built their own tiny home that can answer your questions. This event is held at Riverdale Regional Park & Fairgrounds. Admission covers the two-day event, kids attend for free.

Brighton Oasis Family Aquatic Park opens for the season. It features a large tube slide and a body flume slide, a lazy river with zero-depth entry and a wave generator, a rock climbing wall, and a drop slide in the deep end. There is also a tot pool with zero-depth entry and interactive play features as well as a water basketball area. We offer a full concession stand as well, or you may bring in food and non-alcoholic drinks.

JUNE

Summerfest is one of the city’s biggest celebrations! It brings entertainment for all ages, culture, food, drink, activities, and a huge variety of vendors and exhibitors. Held annually at Carmichael Park just behind City Hall. Much of it is free! Check the city’s website, brightonco.gov, or its social media channels for regular updates as the event draws near.

Brighton Blues Blast is an annual special event held at the Brighton Armory. Each year features a variety of musicians known for their blues style. If you enjoy blues and jazz, this event is sure to please. Check brightonarmory.org as the event draws near for details.

Art in the Park – The city invites you to meet and visit with local, regional, and international artists showcasing their best work, sample fine cuisine, enjoy musical performances and artist demonstrations that will entertain and entice visitors, and enjoy Brighton’s growing venue of art at its best!

SonFlower Ranch Spring Shindig invites you to experience life on the ranch! They have a large variety of farm animals to see and touch. There are emus, alpacas, miniature donkeys, horses, goats and their babies, miniature pigs, peacocks, guinea fowl, turkeys, ducks, doves, pheasants, chickens and of course dogs and cats. Join a Rocky Mountain Goat Yoga Session, too! This event also features vendors, local artisan crafts, and food. The nominal admission fee helps the wild animal rescue program affiliated with the ranch.

JULY

Independence Day Celebration - Stars & Stripes Riverdale at Riverdale Regional Park & Fairgrounds. This event is usually held on July 3 and features the biggest fireworks display in the county. Bring the family and enjoy a huge variety of activities for all.

City of Brighton Fourth of July Celebration is held at Carmichael Park. This annual event features free activities for children as well as a variety of food vendors and music.

AUGUST

Adams County Fair at Riverdale Regional Park brings communities together to provide free family entertainment, education and enrichment. The fair runs one week in early August.

SEPTEMBER

The Annual Palizzi Corn and Chile Festival offers four days to stock up on roasted chile and veggies for the coming winter. The festival is held over Labor Day weekend at Palizzi Farm.

Fall Birding Festival at Barr Lake State Park invites you to “fly” over to Barr Lake State Park to celebrate the fall bird migration, an experience worth sharing with others. Be entertained at this festive community event filled with food, fun, and lore—something for everyone. Check the park’s Facebook page for details.

Lulu’s Farm Brighton Chile Fest is an annual event locals and visitors look forward to each year! Enjoy the biggest selection of fresh-roasted chiles in the region! Pre-order your chiles by the full or half-bushel, and we can have them ready for you to pick up, or order on site, and we’ll roast them while you enjoy the festival and let you know when they are ready. Vendors, music, food, drink and more!

OCTOBER

Harvest Festival at Barr Lake State Park is brought to you by the Friends of Barr Lake. You’ll find carnival games, a petting zoo, face painting, hayrides, a kiddie train and kids crafts. Refreshments, cornstalks and pumpkins are available. Check the Friends of Barr Lake Facebook page for details.

Brighton Restaurant Week is like a food festival on steroids! It’s a limited-time event where Brighton restaurants offer special menus or deals to showcase their best dishes at incredible prices. Berry Patch Farms invites you to its annual harvest event that features family fun, farm market, and activities that vary each year. Admission is free for all ages.

NOVEMBER

City of Brighton Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Race is a great way to work off those holiday pounds and qualify for the Bolder Boulder Race (one of the country’s most popular 10K races!). Awards given to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finishers in each age and gender category for walkers and runners (must be present to win).

DECEMBER

Holiday Bazaar at Riverdale Regional Park & Fairgrounds. This annual event benefits the Adams County Museum. Admission is budget friendly.

City of Brighton Tree Lighting & Festival of Lights Parade is the first Saturday in December. You can join in the fun of outdoor Christmas markets, visits with Santa, and other family-friendly activities. Stay for the lighting of the Holiday tree and a concert. The second Saturday in December is the Festival of Lights Parade. With almost 100 entries, this nighttime parade will keep you warm with cheer and goodies found along the parade route at our local shops.

Holiday Lighted Trail at Barr Lake State Park is brought to you by the Friends of Barr Lake. Join us for a short hike to celebrate the wonders of winter on the lighted bridge and Niedrach Trail. Fun activities will be indoors as well as outside, including a lighted trail, kids’ crafts, face painting and a VISIT FROM SANTA CLAUS! Hot cocoa, cider, cookies and more will also be available! Donations benefit the many programs the park offers year-round. Admission to the event is free with a paid entrance fee to the park.
